Scope of Policy
This policy applies to all of Island Plastic Bags, Inc.
Purpose
Island Plastic Bags, Inc. believes that it is our responsibility to do our part to protect the ʻĀina and the community we live in. The company also believes that not only is being environmentally conscious our responsibility, but it also good business.
It is also good business to treat all our stakeholders fairly and be honest with them. The following policy statement is meant to provide a roadmap to this purpose.
Policy Statement
The company views sustainability as conservation of resources, management of stakeholder relationships, and ethical decision making. Our sustainable policy is as follows:
To increase the use of recycled, reusable, and renewable materials in the products we sell
To reduce our dependence on non-renewable energy
To comply with all environmental, labor, and other laws in the State of Hawaii
To ensure employee safety
To search for new products to make, new ways to make products, and other innovations that will make us a more sustainable company
Undergo sustainability reporting to determine where we are as a company and how we can improve
